I find floaping immoral and socially unacceptable.

I never wanted Manchester United to be second to anybody. Only the best would be good enough

I hope Rooney is actually injured and will be out for Everton game, also to give him a break and the team a different look. He needs time out I think to sort himself out and maybe giver Herrera a go in th 10 spot

Could be a blessing in disguise the injury. For the team and him. I woukd probably go with mata in the middle with young on the right.

Yeah young deserves a chance but prob for depay, this league seems a step too far for him at the mo. Either way I am not adverse to dropping Rooney for the Everton game, he hasnt played well against them in an age.

I see the sense of dropping him deeper but even then he still doesn't deserve a starting place. We have better options in midfield.
I think people are in denial about whats happening with him. I keep hearing it's LVG's tactics, which is pure bullshit. No matter what tactics are employed he should be able to control a fucking football and make simple short passes.
What we're seeing with him and have been for a few seasons is a once great player in decline. Now he's turned 30, he's only going to lose more of his ability, physically at least. He's had a long career already despite only being 30 and it's no surprise that he's declining, it happens.
I think he still has something to offer and could play an important role in how this side develops, especially when it comes to his experience but firstly we need to get realistic about what it is he offers and what role he should have. He should not be guaranteed a starting place, we should not be dropping other players and playing others out of position to make space for Rooney and in the grand scheme of things sacrificing the best interests of the team.
Legends like Scholes and Giggs started to have a slightly reduced role when they got to Rooney's age and they'd kept themselves in better nick than he has as well as only starting appearing as regular first team players at a later age, therefore having less years of strain on the body.
