If you could just post the list of the movies in the video I'll give you my opinion. The first video was pretty close, so I can only imagine these would be to, barring a few that I don't agree with and would swap with something more my style. It's all subjective anyway. As long as no one mentions Dude Where's My Car or something like that, there's no real way to discredit an opinion on film. It'd be better to have some criteria, but if we're just going off straight opinion, then quite a few will be the same with maybe 3 or 4 being to the personal taste of the compiler of the said list.

It's not for you, you want to see films that are well made.
I want to see films that have the sole aim of making me laugh through immaturity.
On that note I watched Hot Shots the other night for the gazillionth time, one of my all time favourites

What Watchmojo put for each top 10 list, starting from '50s onwards 50s- I'm fine with these- I'd switch the order up a bit and maybe add Vertigo, High Noon, and North by Northwest :edit never mind it's on the list.1. On the Waterfront 2. Bridge on the River Kwai 3. Singin in the Rain 4. Rear Window 5. 12 Angry Men 6. North by Northwest 7. Ben-Hur 8. Seven Samurai 9. Rebel without a cause 10. Streetcar Named desire 60s- I think Psycho is a bit overrated at the 1 spot... think it should be more around 5-6. Dr. Strangelove should be higher. I'd add La Dolce Vita, Rosemary's Baby, Spartacus, A Fist Full of Dollars, there are a lot of great films of the 60's. I might bounce The Sound of Music out just because I think it gets a little more credit than it deserves. 1. Psycho 2. 2001 3. Graduate 4. Lawrence of Arabia 5. Good, Bad and Ugly 6. To Kill a Mockingbird 7. Goldfinger 8. Dr Strangelove 9. Sound of Music 10. Butch Cassidy and Sundance 70s- Godfather part 2 is a huge omission in my opinion. I'd bump Star Wars and add Dog Day Afternoon, American Graffiti, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory... Love Rocky, but not sure it should make the top 10 either. The French Connection deserves a shout as well. 1. Godfather (part 1) 2. Star Wars 3. Apocalypse Now 4. Taxi Driver 5. Clockwork Orange 6. One flew over the cuckoos nest 7. Chinatown 8. Jaws 9. Deer Hunter 10. Rocky 80s- The decade of Sci Fi it seems. Ghostbusters is a little low, Fast Times at Ridgemont High has to be there, Back to the Future above Raging Bull (fuck off) Platoon at 10 is a tragedy. I'd completely chop and change this list. 1. Empire Strikes Back 2. Back to the Future 3. Raiders of the Lost Ark 4. Raging Bull 5. The Shining 6. ET 7. Die Hard 8. Ghostbusters 9. Aliens 10.Platoon 00s- I think 3-8 are all much better than 1-2, but that's my opinion. Eternal Sunshine should be higher perhaps above Hurt Locker. No Country for old Men should be fighting for that top spot. Children of Men should be there, Kill Bill, Michael Clayton, Donnie Darko, Eastern Promises, A History of Violence, tons of great great films a shame to narrow it to 10.1. Dark Knight 2. LOTR: Return of the King 3. There will be blood 4. The Departed 5. Hurt Locker 6. No Country for Old Men 7. Gladiator 8. Eternal Sunshine of spotless mind 9. Incredibles 10. Casino Royale All Time- Dark Knight shouldn't make the list. Apocalypse Now should be higher- Godfather should be lower and accompanied by part 2 slightly higher. Pyscho might not deserve to be there. Top 15 maybe. That list looks nothing like my all-time list, but I respect it. 1. Godfather 2. Citizen Kane 3. Pulp Fiction 4. Psycho 5. Empire Strikes Back 6. Dark Knight 7. Shawshank Redemption 8. Gone with the Wind 9. Wizard of Oz 10. Apocalypse Now Yeah I've listed them out. Thoughts?

How the majority of those films from the all time top 10 are above Apocalypse Now is beyond me.

FYI Doc, they also put a couple of honourable mentions for each decade and of all time. For 2000s, Kill Bill and Almost Famous were listed as honourable mentions, as was French Connection and American Graffiti for the 70s. For those lists, they ensured two movies from the same franchise doesn't appear on the same list, hence the Godfather part 2 omission (in favour of Part 1)
Jamie, why do you say that?

Well it's good to know they at least made honorable mention... I'd still have them on the list though. I think I'd take Godfather 2 over the first if I had to choose.

Jamie, why do you say that? Most of those movies I wouldn't mention in the same breath as it, maybe Godfather even though part 2 is better and Pulp Fiction which is a brilliant movie and at least equal to Apocalypse Now. The rest don't come close, The Dark Knight should be nowhere near an all time top 10. Apocalypse Now is the all round cinematic experience, the storyline is dark and incredibly tense, it's full of brilliant imagery and the score is fantastic and adds to the tension. One of my all time favourite movies and should be in the top 2 of those 10 movies hands down.
