Murray safely through to the last 16 in the Australian open but Federer has been knocked out by Andrea Seppi who's ranked at number 44 in the world. Federer was in Murray's half of the draw which opens it up a tad....until you see that Nadal is also in that half of the draw. Murray's been playing some good stuff so far though, pretty convincing wins from him and if he can keep up that sort of form he's more than a match for Nadal on this surface, although I expect Novak to take all the beating in terms of actually winning the tournament.

Yeah, I'm anxious to see how Nadal comes out in a few minutes after that epic 5 setter the other day. He wasn't right... Fed had been playing really well lately; I don't know what caused all those double faults and unforced errors. I also expect Djokovic to be in it at the end.

Rafa got through with ease, hopefully him and Murray meet in the semi's although Murray's challenge steps up a bit in his next match as Dimitrov is much better than anyone he's faced so far.

Yeah, Baby Fed could trouble Murray... we'll see.

Dimitrov started off well and it's all ugliness now

Rafa out... not fit after missing so much time with injury. I think he did well just to get to the quarters based on some of his performances.

Yeah, even though Kyrgios is a talent and Berdych can cause anyone problems Murray will have to see anything less than the final as a massive failure now. Having both Federer and Rafa in your half of the draw and seeing them both go out should give you extra incentive.

Well Murray just broke him in the first set... starting off well enough.

6-3 7-6
The Aussie is making a lot of errors on that forehand- he'll have to correct that if he has any chance at winning the next three.

Yeah Murray getting through this with relative ease by the looks of it, hope his opponent in the semi's gives him more of a game in preparation for a possible final with Novak.

Well that's it, Murray v Berdych in the semi's, Murray looking strong and back in top form, hopefully it'll be him and Novak in the final and we'll see a classic.

That's it... straight sets. Thought Kyrgios would at least take a set. The second was his only chance and he blew the tiebreak.

Berdych leads the head to head 6-4... should be a good match for him if Berdych can get 60-70% on his first serve. If not, Murray should take it in 4 or 5.

7-6 6-4 6-2
Novak not troubled at all by Raonic.
Two interesting semifinal matches to look forward to.

Djokovic looks to be carrying an injury in his hand, Murray looking the better player right now either way.
