No, What happened?

usual, equatorial guinea where losing 3-0 to ghana in the latter stages, fans started throwing chairs and stuff onto the pitch. ghana fans had to stand behind goals for protection etc.

Equatorial Guinea have been fined $100,000 (€80,200) due to their fans' behaviour during Thursday night's Africa Cup of Nations clash with Ghana.

The semi-final tie in Malabo was suspended for 30 minutes after crowd violence that resulted in 36 people being injured, 14 of whom were taken to hospital for treatment, with one person's condition declared serious.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has now taken action, with its disciplinary committe ordering Equatorial Guinea's football federation (FEGUIFUT) to cover all of the medical costs and pay a fine of $100,000, while the national team will play their third-place play-off against DR Congo under the threat of their next home game being staged behind closed doors.

A CAF statement released on Friday afternoon statement read, "Pursuant to Articles 82, 83 and 151 of the Disciplinary Code of CAF, respectively related to the principles of conduct, responsibility and safety in the organization of games, the disciplinary panel decided:

"To have the Equatorial Guinean Party cover the cost of treatment of all injured persons during the match.

"To impose on the Equatorial Guinean Federation a fine of US$100,000 (One Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) for aggressive behaviour and being repeat offenders.

"To have the team of Equatorial Guinea play their next game behind closed doors/in camera and without spectators.

"However, to promote a spirit of Fair-play and brotherhood during the AFCON2015, the Disciplinary Panel decided to suspend the match behind closed doors provided that spectators were not guilty of such an offense in the 3rd/4th place classification match.

"In the event of a repeat of identical incidents during the classification match on 7 February 2015, the disciplinary panel of CAF will automatically impose the sanction of playing behind closed doors the Equatorial Guinean team's next official match.

Ghana players left the pitch at half-time during the game in Malabo under the cover of police as bottles rained down from the home support, before the game was suspended for half an hour in the second half.

Objects were hurled towards the visiting support, causing Ghana fans to take cover on the running track behind one of the goals.

Police then used tear gas and a helicopter to disperse Guinea fans before play eventually resumed, with Ghana running out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Jordan and Andre Ayew, and Mubarak Wakaso.

However, Blacks Stars boss Avram Grant admitted afterwards that he feared for his players' lives.

"I didn’t know what was happening," the former Chelsea manager stated. "I could not say I wasn’t concerned but I wanted to keep my players safe – it was very important for me."

The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) withdrew as hosts for this year's edition because of health and safety concerns surrounding the Ebola virus epidemic

Morocco have been banned from competing in the next two Africa Cup of Nations and fined just under €9 million for refusing to stage the 2015 tournament.

The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) stood down as hosts because of health concerns surrounding the outbreak of the Ebola virus in west Africa and the event was subsequently switched to Equatorial Guinea.

However, CAF has dismissed the legitmacy of the late withdrawal and consequently decided to impose a fine of $1,000,000 (€830,000) upon the FRMF, order the organisation to pay an additional €8.05m in compensation, and exclude the Atlas Lions from the 2017 and 2019 African Cup of Nations tournaments.

A CAF statement read: "Morocco had based its request to postpone the tournament by a year on 10th October, 2014, on allegations 'of the highest health risk'.

"Morocco cited the outbreak of the Ebola virus as a case of force majeure in justifying its request for postponement, citing in particular the risk of contamination of its population because of anticipated fans' flows.

"CAF raised objections and inadmissibility of Morocco's request who were obliged to state their position of withdrawal from the organization of the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations by 11 November 2014.

"The Executive Committee considered that, contrary to what the Royal Moroccan Football Federation cited, force majeure cannot be accepted for the benefit of the federation.

"Thus, according to the provisions of Articles 7.1.a, 23.11 and 62 of the Statutes of CAF and in accordance with Article 41 of the Application of the Statutes of CAF regulations and according to Article 92.4 of the competition rules and the terms of the Framework Agreement signed for the Orange AFCON 2015, the CAF Executive Committee decided to suspend the national team of Morocco from the next two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, 2017 and 2019, and to impose on the federation the regulatory fine of $1 million.

"The CAF Executive Committee decided by a separate measure to be borne by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation the sum of eight million and fifty thousand euro in compensation for all material damage sustained by CAF, stakeholders and partners as a result of the decision not to host AFCON 2015."

wait for the north african countries and the middle eastern countries to form and make their own confederation, the middle eastern countries are pissed off with the afc, the north african countries are pissed of with CAF. its about time their was re-allignment anyway. oceania can come over with east asia and form a new afc anyway. not sure if they could join UEFA (would be a welcome addition one would think, they'd go in and be at least respectable immediately)

After trouble in Tunisia's Africa Cup of Nations defeat to Equatorial Guinea, CAF has threatened to ban the nation from the 2017 tournament.

Tunisia could be expelled from the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, while the country's football federation president Wadie Jary has been issued a ban — pending a letter of apology — over suggestions of bias.

The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) aimed the accusations in the direction of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following its controversial 2-1 AFCON quarterfinal defeat to host Equatorial Guinea on Saturday.

Equatorial Guinea was staring down the barrel of defeat until Mauritian official Seechurn Rajindraparsad awarded a penalty in second-half stoppage time when Hamza Mathlouthi was penalized somewhat harshly for a foul on Ivan Bolado. Players and officials from Tunisia, including Jary, confronted Rajindraparsad on the pitch at full time and there was unrest in the stands at Estadio de Bata.

CAF subsequently banned Rajindraparsad for six months and removed him from its elite panel of referees, while an apology was demanded from the FTF.

AFCON officials met in Malabo on Friday and have now opted to ban Jary from all CAF activity until an apology is made, while warning that the FTF must meet certain criteria set by CAF's Disciplinary Panel by March 31 in order to participate in the tournament in two years' time.

"At its meeting in Malabo, the Organising Committee for the Orange Africa Cup of Nations dealt with the behaviour of Mr. Wadie Jary, president of the Tunisian Football Federation, during the match between Tunisia and Equatorial Guinea on 31 January 2015 in Bata," read a statement from CAF.

"Thus, the AFCON Organising Committee decided to suspend with immediate effect the President of the Tunisian Football Federation, Mr. Wadie Jary, from all activities related to CAF until he submitted a letter of apology or presented a letter with irrefutable, tangible evidence to substantiate claims of CAF bias against the Tunisian team.

"The Executive Committee of CAF, which met on Friday, 6 February 2015 in Malabo, took note of the suspended sentence. The Committee also decided to give the Tunisian Football Federation until March 31, 2015 to comply with the recommendations of the Disciplinary Panel and the Organising Committee, otherwise the Executive Committee of CAF will disqualify Tunisian national team from the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017."
