I also saw a report that says Rojo wants to stay.
Please, no, go away i'm begging you. All the CB's for that matter should be on the transfer list for the right price (maybe with the exception of Bailly and our youngsters). Rojo, Jones,Smalling and Lindelof can all bugger off.

Also if you want muppetry, apparently Griezmann is being linked to united. again (he's like the new Wesley Sjneider rumour).

You're on crack if you think Lindelof needs to leave. He's the one defender you'd keep, he's the only one who's grown and got development in him. You'd also keep Smalling as a squad player, he can be excellent in certain situations.
As for the dead-wood it doesn't pay, literally, to run them down and tell them they're shit in front of prospective buyers cause obviously you drive the price down, and what happens if we do have to use them as squad players, running them down hardly motivates them. It's a game and we're forced to play it.
And unless Koulibaly actually demonstrates he wants a move by rocking the boat or handing in a transfer request he's going nowhere as Napoli don't want to sell / want 150m euro for him. You'd go to 90m sterling, tops. I'd say that's dead in the water as it stands.

....which leaves Maguire. Which isn't actually a bad option for this current side atm. Or a very temporary TobyA.
BUT the stealth horse in all this, that people seemingly forget about, is Lukaku / Skriniar and whether some type of deal can be cobbled together there.

I wouldn't bother with Maguire, he's good but we really need world class (unless Maguire is the other CB we bring in). I'd say Skriniar for Lukaku would be a good option for us. Though we'd need a striker (though apparently Timo Werner is available, he'd be a very good buy as a replacement for Lukaku and actually fits our style of play).

Also De Ligt would consider rejecting Barca for us, i say go for it.

Good cover for the first team i suppose, don't see him being a first team player for the next few years at least. On wingers though, no real talk about Sanchez so far, i should hope he's going to go.
Also Mbappe apparently put in a transfer request. As unlikely as it is, given PSG being linked to Pogba. Pogba + cash for Mbappe, we need someone like Mbappe desperately (a proper, world class attacking threat, what we should have had with Lukaku and should have had with Sanchez) and given his age, he could be with us for the next 15 years and become a legend.
Honestly, my ideal window (as unrealistic as it will be, Milinkovic-Savic would be the biggest spend cause of player swaps):
Ins: Mbappe (part of the Pogba deal) Werner (Timo Werner, if we are replacing Lukaku, makes a tonne of sense, unless we decide we want to buy Harry Kane all of a sudden and bankrupt the club buying him, Werner seems like a very good fit in the Solskjaer system and he may want out and Leipzig may be willing to sell him away from the Bundesliga to avoid Bayern getting their hands on him, he'd be a star for us up top) Milinkovic Savic (90 Million) Rabiot (Free - I think he's a good option on a free and despite agents fees, its still a lot less than paying a 50+ mill transfer for a similar talent) Skriniar (part of the Lukaku swap) De Ligt (yes, i'd get both) Sessengon/Tierney (hear me out, the full backs are the most important positions arguably in the backline for most clubs nowadays, Shaw needs competition and both are prime for big club moves, Sessengon in the Championship and Tierney in the SPL). Aaron Wan Bissaka (25 million) - (confirmed we're interested and we need a good RB, he was very good for palace)
Out: Jones (i feel bad for him, because injuries have decimated his career, he could have been an amazing CB but it wasn't to be) Smalling (i would like to keep him but its between him and Lindelof and its something i toss up between, but one of them should go to bring back Tuanzebe and Fosu-Mensah into the fold, if i had my way, i'd sell both to be honest and bring in the extra money, bring in the two new CB's and have Bailly and Tuanzebe as our main backups) Rojo (all in all, a terrible signing and he should have been gone last year) Young (i cringe when he's playing most of the time for us, he's nowhere near united quality, he's barely premier league quality to be honest at LB). Lukaku (part of the skriniar deal, we should get a bit of money as well, probably 10 million on top of the player) Herrera (confirmed gone) Pogba (we'll have to pay extra to bring in Mbappe, but they want him and honestly, we should try work this in, they'd be more receptive selling to us rather than Real Madrid) Sanchez (pretty obvious he has to go) Valencia (confirmed gone) Matic? (50-50, i'm more worried about a dip in performance and thus, sell him whilst he has value, but finding a defensive rock is hard) Juan Mata (this one hurts but it is probably time i think) Matteo Darmian (he's basically all but confirmed gone, what a bust of a signing he turned out to be, but i'd be lieing if he didn't show promise to show us some of that serie a form). Romero (unfortunately, with Henderson coming through, i'd rather give him the chance at being backup and playing some league cup games after his season at Sheffield Utd).
So potential lineup next year
De Gea (Henderson) Wan Bissaka (Dalot) - Skriniar (Lindleof) - De Ligt (Bailly) - Shaw/(Tierney/Sessengon) Matic (Fred) Rabiot (McTominay) - Milinkovic-Savic (Pereira?) Mbappe (Lingard) - Werner (Rashford) - Martial (James)
Other players not mentioned there: (Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Borthwick-Jackson)
It would be an expensive and eventful window, but after coming 6th with no trophies (an abject failure by anyone's standards), its time we had squad renewal, too many passengers and specialists in failure, not enough actually world class players with potential to really grow. I also get rid of some of the egos (Pogba for example), however, i guess adding Rabiot somewhat hurts that. On Werner, i'd also be ok with Rashford starting outright as well if money is tight, but i don't know if we're going that way.

Good news on James. Spens all those fantasy transfers and Matic is still first choice.

Good news on James. Spens all those fantasy transfers and Matic is still first choice. First choice on a team that came 6th doesn't mean that much tbh. Matic is still really good, i just want to get some return on investment whilst we can, however, he is the one i'd be the most reluctant to sell. However, If we did sell Matic, Declan Rice wouldn't be that bad to be fair as a replacement.

I'd rather we go for Declan Rice.
