Depends how much the Glazers want to distract you and buy you off with new shiny thing. Kane on his own is no use unless you buy a CB and CDM but their thinking will be 'mood change' reboot and shirt sales.

Look at the price Spuds want for an injury prone, 28 year old - now you could get that down with player swaps but you'd have to sign him on a 5 year deal - then what about Mason? And what about Cavani you've just begged to stay??

If they are serious about a world class striker and new shiny thing then it's Haaland next year (assuming he stays put this) and fill in the squad holes this year. Which will be Ole's preference 'cause that's what Cavani is for.

On the other hand, you're dealing with some of the most inept, clueless scum alive today, so who knows what will happen this window. You could potentially have a worse squad at the end of this window. Ponder that one.

We are at exactly the same point with Sancho as we were last year - the deal is ready to go (and was last year) Glazers just need to part with the money.

Apart from that and meaningless club press briefs / leaks there is very little solid information to go on.
