We're just not in a good position, DDG clearly wants the move, the silence speaks volumes, and Madrid can just watch the clock run down on it all if they want. I'd rather cut my nose off to spite my face in this instance, keeping him another season will be worth more to us than any £20m cash deal Madrid might offer.
Let's face it, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in 4th spot now, the guy will have paid for himself twice over if he pulls the same stunts he pulled this season for us, next season. That's the way I'm looking at it.
