I am not from Manchester ,(not a million miles away either) but as far back as I can remember my Dad was talking about Man Utd, the Babes etc. He'd show me his memorabilia and read books to me about the club and it's history and traditions. It was bread and butter to me before I knew it and things haven't changed since.

I must be the only United supporter in history that supports us because we lost a game.(is it any wonder were sometimes called thick paddies? ) I'm from Belfast and every single one of my family are Loserpool supporters and no matter how much they tried I thought fuck that I'm not supporting that shower of shit. I didn't curse quite so much then because I was only 5. I was watching the 1979 FA cup final United v Arsenil where United were 2-0 down in the last 3-4 minutes. 2 goals from Gordon McQueen and Sammy McIlroy made it 2-2 and I was hooked. It didn't matter to me that Arsenil went straight up the other end and scored the winner. I loved that fighting spirit which has more or less stayed with us all these years and the best about it is my family are all sick and tired from on all my Loserpool jokes. May they keep on coming.
