Btw, how's he performed tonight vs Italy? I've seen the other match in Holland and had an eye on Belgium. I'm reading he's been dog shit, was it that bad?

Clynes been brilliant this season and his stats speak for themselves. With his contract running out and the new quota coming in it seems a no brainer. When you have British talents available and of decent quality, should be first port of call for me. Seen very little of Danilo but you'd probably talking 30m ish rather spend most of our money elsewhere. Not for me, stats can be misleading more often than not. He has pace and is very young but some other aspects of his game are fairly average, like his short range passes for instance which is the parameter very important for van Gaal. I'd much rather Coleman than Clyne speaking of British players, but I didn't see us being in danger over new quota. Maybe I'm wrong? We aren't in danger but with it coming in its good keep in front with it and of late we have been adding foreign first teamers to the squad and in the summer probably will do again. I think it's good to keep a balance, keep improving British talent. Stats combined with the human eye usually gives a good overall judgement, he's been a big part of Sotons success and defensive protection. Every player has there pros and cons but Clyne is more defensively astute than Coleman, attacking wise he can improve. It's been Rafa's defensive liabilities and naivity that have given us problems over the years. Wouldn't mind Coleman either though, both at a similar level, ready for the next step.

England were average to poor first half, as was he. Darmian caused him problems on a few occasions, England not learning from last time left him free. He had the pace to recover though, going forward and forward passes he was poor that's the side of his game he needs to improve. Came off at half time for Walker who didn't fair any better. All part of the learning curve

Now that Madrid have confirmed Danilo I'd be having a look into whether they're willing to let Carvajal go, I really enjoy watching him. Like a man possessed up and down that line.
And the beard is wonderful.

Not a bad shout to be honest, really rate Carvajal.

A right back is what we need the most. We literally have injury-prone Rafael as the only genuine Right back and Valencia to play in that position.
As many already said I would like to have Clyne as well.

And the beard is wonderful. he would be a great signing for us, given his age it could be better than signing Clyne long term

Southampton still talking to Nathaniel Clyne over a new dealLast Updated: 30/04/15 5:32pm Nathaniel Clyne must decide "in the next 10 days" if wants to remain at Southampton for the long term, according to manager Ronald Koeman.Clyne is out of contract next summer and fuelled speculation over a move to Manchester United by telling Sky Sports News HQ earlier this month about his desire to play in the Champions League. The 24-year-old has been one of Southampton’s stand-out performers this season and earned his first England call-up for the Euro 2016 qualifying games against San Marino and Estonia. Koeman insists the full-back is happy at the club but says Southampton need a resolution on his future before the end of the season. "We are still speaking with Clyney and his agent, but we have to know it in 10 days now," Koeman said. "The club is doing and offering the maximum we can do, then we expect the decision of the player. "I have spoken to Clyney. He is very happy. Maybe there is some interest, I don't know because nobody has really had a bid for the player, but if I read the press then maybe there is some interest." Morgan Schneiderlin has also been linked with a move away from Southampton and Koeman admitted he faces a challenge to keep his best players at the club next season. "All the players in the Southampton team are happy with how the team are doing but it is football, you never know,” he said. "It is all about interest. We do everything to keep everybody in the team but it is difficult." www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/9829722/southampton-still-talking-to-nathaniel-clyne-over-a-new-deal
