Hopefully he can sort out his positional sense once he gets used to the premier. Great back up for Shaw if needed.

Hope he makes it back in less than the "up to 6 weeks out" Marcos Rojo could be out for six weeks after dislocating shoulder in Manchester United's derby defeat Manchester United are back in the midst of another defensive injury crisis amid fears that Marcos Rojo could be out for six weeks with a dislocated shoulder. Rojo was carried off on a stretcher during United’s Manchester derby defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday and needed oxygen at one point. Further rests have confirmed the defender’s injury is a full dislocation and the recovery time could be six weeks or even longer. The exact timescale will depend on whether Rojo has torn or merely stretched the ligaments that usually hold the shoulder in place. We've been cursed, I just know it Maybe not ............to be fair Carrick and Mc Nair did well Carrick should give us better passing options building up from our own half ........ and from here he will have to pass more in the forward direction than he usually does

An update on Rojo's injury, from his dad apparently: Marcos Rojo's dad states case on defender's injury, 2 or 3 matches outPosted by SPORT WITNESS on November 3, 2014 at 16:20 in Sport Witness Football Marcos Rojo became the latest victim of Manchester United's injury curse on Sunday when his shoulder popped out during the match against Manchester City. Rojo had been finding his feet for Louis van Gaal's side and shaking off, to some extent at least, early doubts supporters had about his suitability. Given that, and that he's a versatile defender, it was almost natural he became the next Manchester United player in the injury room. Rojo was given gas on the pitch, such was the pain he suffered, and taken to hospital in Manchester. The defender later tweeted in English that it was 'nothing', but that could have been the gas speaking because there was certainly something wrong with his shoulder. The good news coming from Argentina is that Rojo's dislocation does not require surgery, ruling out the worst case scenario. His father is quoted by TN as saying "Lucky all is well and it's not so severe. He will miss two or three games." TN in Argentina went on to say Rojo would be inactive for about three weeks. He's been ruled out of international duty and the Argentina matches on the 12th and 18th of November. Manchester United face Crystal Palace on Saturday and then Arsenal on November 22nd and Hull on the 29th. If the reports coming out of Argentina are correct then Rojo would be expected to return for the match against Stoke City on December 2nd. On Monday afternoon there were claims from the British media that Rojo could be out for up to 3 months, that of course goes against what is being said in Argentina. It's hard to know who is correct, and whether Rojo was painting too optimistic a picture for his father and the press in Argentina, but there's little reason for that - it's hardly life threatening. sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/marcos-rojo-s-dad-states-case-on-defender-s-injury-2-or-3-matches

all depends on the severity of the dislocation... if it's a minor dislocation like his father seems to think then a few games sounds about right.

Doesn't require surgery, should be out for around 6 weeks.

"I could not think of anything else. I would call him every day, but when it seemed the transfer would not happen then I refused to work with Sporting."

Marcos Rojo explains hard-man image
Marcos Rojo admits his personality transforms once he takes to the field for Manchester United - to the point where even his own family and friends do not recognise him.
Since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer, the 24-year-old Argentinian has become known for his relaxed demeanour and is rarely seen without a smile on his face. However, that image contrasts heavily with the aggressive, all-action style of play that he adopts while marshalling the Reds' back-line.
During an exclusive interview for the Boxing Day edition of United Review, the club’s official matchday programme, Rojo reveals the extent of his ‘split personality’ and explains how his upbringing in La Plata has shaped his entire approach to defending.
“I’m totally different off the field to what I am on it,” the South American insists. “People who know me, like my Mum and my partner for example, always say to me: ‘How come you are so different off the field when you are always chilled out and smiling whereas, when you step out on to the pitch, your face changes’… They say it’s like someone else is going out there to play!
“But I am not scared to put in a challenge,” the tough no.5 continues. “What it is, from being a young kid, I used to play football around my neighbourhood in La Plata with kids who were much older than me. I would be aged 10 and playing against lads who were 18 and they would play hard and not hold back, and that’s how I grew up.”
Rojo has missed United’s last two outings against Liverpool and Aston Villa with a thigh injury - as Louis van Gaal confirmed on Saturday - but hopes to return over the festive period.

Hasn't featured a lot this season but I guess he's been decent when called upon, though it's sometimes hard to believe that he was part of a defence that reached the World Cup Final.
