UNITED HAVE PEREIRA RECALL CLAUSE
Andreas Pereira has had a recall clause inserted into his loan deal with Valencia, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
Pereira joined the Spanish side last week on a season-long move to follow the one he had with Granada in La Liga in 2016/17. The creative midfielder was keen for regular first-team football, even though he was in the manager's plans.
There is the option to bring the 21-year-old back to Old Trafford on 1 January 2018, if United decide he is needed for the battle ahead.
"I'm a bit disappointed that he left," admitted the boss. "But, okay, it was his decision. I open the door for his decision. He has a long-term contract and we have an option to bring him back on 1 January, so we have that situation under control."
Hmm... maybe it wasn't down to Mourinho that he left.

Can't say as I blame him, I'd have done the same. He has a stormer, gets more experience, then it pushes him further up the ladder..but they'll be a decision to be made by both parties come the end of the season I feel.

I think he's going to end up in La Liga.
Longer quote from Mou:
“His was a personal decision that I don't agree with, a decision I don't think honestly is the best decision for him, a decision that disappoints me.
“He has the potential to be fighting for a position, fighting for opportunities and fighting to be a Manchester United player.
“His decision can be considered a young player who wants to play every weekend but also a young player that is not ready to fight for something difficult.
“And it's difficult to play in Manchester United’s midfield. You have to be ready to fight for the position and I am disappointed he left.”

I'd tend to agree but Carrick leaves at the end of this season, hope-possibly bog brush too, so the room is there.

Seems he has finally made it, at least in the squad and a good first outing. Like a new signing for us.

Probably Pereira’s best game for us yesterday, I wasn’t really sure about him but I think he’s good enough to be in the squad long term. To think his attitude was questioned during his youth, absolutely works his balls off and a bit like Herrera was he is a general nuisance for the opposition.

I think he's improving Pereira, most definitely.
We're limited in midfield as it is but he does put a shift in. He's going to play a huge amount of games this season assuming we stay in cup competitions.
He was excellent against the Scousers, have to say.
