I think the show is utterly superb. One of the most underrated on TV without a doubt.

Seems to be a lot of the time-slot taken up by imagery rather than dialogue, maybe that's just me?

I see where you're coming from but I think it's part of the shows majesty. I can see why people find it a little self indulgent though.

I'd rather have beautiful visuals than endless waffle, maybe that's just me I think it's a well done show, pretty slick all the way through, although gory and disturbing at times some of the shots are absolutely stunning. I think the pacing of the series as well is right on cue where as other series struggle with it to be honest. I can't recall an episode that was just a filler. Think I read that it's signed up for five seasons, so see how it goes. Got round to finishing off Fortitude, not bad but probably should have just ended it there, not sure what they'll do for the second series.

People would say it has its fair share of waffling as well but I agree it's a beautifully done show. Which is quite remarkable as it's incredibly intense, gory and well...about a guy who eats people, in the simplest of descriptions. My 2nd favourite show currently on tv after Game of Thrones.

I still haven't watched the new episode but I agree - it has brilliant cinematography and quite unique as I can't recall any show putting so much emphasis on the beauty of something utterly disturbing

Loved that second episode. Just when you thought it can't get any more creepy... I do worry about the people who come up with the script though. Anyway, hopefully the story will pick up some speed in the next episodes, these were a little slow for me

I don't think this is so slow compared to other Hannibal episodes we've seen in previous seasons. The reason it may seem more slow is because they've removed the villain of the week formula (which I personally don't mind).
Has anyone seen Sense8?

GOT season finale spoilers. There's no way they're going to let him die, but I fucking well wish they would

Game of thrones season 5 spoilers Sansa and Reek jumping of the wall... will they survive? Mere mortals will not survive the fall (50+ feet? ) Loving the Tyrion subplot. Hopefully he can sit on the iron throne? (Is that even possible?). Jamie will get his revenge against the Martells. Another war looming ahead Arya's story arc has gotten interesting as well. Where will she go from here? Was that Lena Headey's double? She looked amazing! Season 5 started slowly but I think it ended really well. The last 3 episodes have been amazing. Can't wait for season 6.

Game of thrones finale Well that was special. Every scene was fucking fantastic. I predicted that ending as well (Olly dealing the last blow to Jon). You've seen it coming for a few weeks.
Lena Headey once again showed she's the best actor in this show.
I also predicted Dany would run into the Dothraki again.
Tyrion's character gets more interesting. Glad Varys is back with him as well.
Haven't got a fucking clue what's going to happen with Arya's character now.
I think Theon and Sansa survived and am I reading too much into the fact they didn't actually show Brienne killing Stanis? Or is he definitely dead?
Then there's Melisandre, she knew they were going to lose. Could she bring Jon back to life? She sensed something special about him. Another character who I'm clueless about now, especially if Stanis and Jon are both dead.. who does she side with now?
I could talk about this show all day, just fucking superb.
Do you guys know in the book who Jon's mother is? Or real parents full stop? I've thought for a couple of seasons that Ned is almost certainly not his father. I used to think he was the child of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lynna Stark but the black hair doesn't add up in that sense.

Yes, that was Lena's double. I really could not bring myself to enjoy that scene. Seeing someone be completely degraded, humiliated, and stripped of everything is sickening, regardless of her previous crimes. Lena did everything right in that scene. And I have no doubt that she is going to go batshit crazy after this.
They weren't very subtle about Olly. It was still sad. However, I hope Melisandre's presence means Jon will be resuscitated and brought back as Azor Ahai because Stannis obviously wasn't the "chosen one".
Varys and Tyrion should become bi-dictators of the realm. That duo should lead.
Theon and Sansa probably survived the jump but broke a few bones here and there. Brienne will probably come to their rescue. And I think Stannis is dead.
The books have not clarified who Jon's parents are. The R+L=J theory is the most popular one but there are other theories. I personally think popular theory is the true one.
Well, now the books and the show are basically in the same spot. The last book ended with the For The Watch scene. The only thing is that we book readers have other characters (some of which will be introduced next season and some of which have been eliminated from the show or merged with other already present characters)
