True detective season 2 not as good as the first season imo. Also think they cast Vince Vaughn wrongly as the mob boss.

Vince Vaughn has never been in anything where he wasn't terribly miss-cast. Horrible excuse for an actor.

I'm going to give him time to prove himself in this even though my original thoughts were the same.I just don't see mob boss in him yet,but am willing to be proven wrong.

Yeah I agree, can't really get my head round him as a mob boss but we'll see.
I don't know if anyone's been watching Humans on C4, decent show.

Not sure how to describe but yeah it's good, if you are interested in AI and all that you should like it. It has a similar feel to Utopia, similar flow, conspiracy kind of plot, at times disturbing and some of the same actors.
In fact it's made by the same people.

Watched the last of Black Work last night, a three part police drama on ITV, well worth a look.

Vince Vaughn is pretty good in comedies though. His last serious creepy role was Psycho? I missed Matt and Woody.

Yeah, I think that a lot of us are stuck in comparison mode because we were so spoiled with Matt and Woody in the first season. All the reviews in the build-up to season 2 said to completely forget about the first season as it is a new story and nothing like the first, but I have to admit that it's hard to and I do miss Matt and Woody enough sometimes to watch it over again, it was and still is superb and hopefully this new one will get there eventually.

Slowly drifting away for me. .. and how did Colin's character survived 2 gunshots? One at point blank range.

One theory is that is the end being shown in the second and the rest is a lead up to the shooting? Just guessing?

That just sums up the whole season in 3 episodes. It just confuses people. Season 1 really raise the bar too high.
