Bournemouth unlucky there, if the referee did his job properly they would have won.
They are a good footballing side but in the final third there's a real lack of quality, against the lesser sides they might just have enough though.

Yeah I was impressed with them, there's something about them that I like. They don't seem your average promoted side who like to play nice football but are pretty spineless. If they can nick a decent striker from somewhere I think they'll stay up. They need to snooping around for a gem of a loan signing I think.

Newly promoted side dominating possession at Anfield, not to be sniffed at. I didn't realise how tall/physical they were, certainly willing to use their strength and put themselves about, some of the fouls the ref gave were so soft it's unbelievable. Is out muscling your opponent not allowed these days..
Get a striker in and they may be ok, I wonder if they can afford Austin, Palace should have gone for him too rather than 10m? On Wickham.

We've got the best defence in the league since November by 4 goals. Impressive stuff. Not surprised: everyone kept criticising our defence last season. But I kept repeating it was upfront that we struggled to make and convert chances. Sadly, we haven't improved much in that department as we're still lacking a quality forward. Not having a go at Rooney because I think he will wake up, but I haven't found him good enough for the last few years anyway. If we could land someone like Benzema, Müller, Lewandoswki, etc. Rooney would be benched in my books. |
