Saw nothing from him vs Chelsea when he got a start to justify his enormous wages and a 40 something million transfer.
I like him and would love to see him regain his form again here, but from what we have seen so far....cheerio.

Well worth a punt for them, his market value will have dropped considerably, if he comes good and gets his head round the BPL then they will have struck gold.
I just think he's in the wrong league, wrong time and place

I think we may have already done so last summer. There was rumours about it on the night how a sale next year rather than at the time would look better in Monaco's accounts for FFP.
I've been looking at United's accounts and something doesn't quite add up, I'm starting to think it may have been true. The quotes from Vasilyev have made me think it even more. Surely they must know that if everything is as it seems then we wouldn't be signing him and would therefore be talking to other clubs.

Yeah I think you're right. There was a rumour the other day saying Woodward had been in touch with them discussing a deal, I dismissed it as bollocks but maybe he's trying to get a reduced price. I could see a similiar situation occurring to what happened with Torres, we sign him permanently because we have to and send him out on a 2 year loan or something like that. Surely he's done absolutely nothing to persuade Van Gaal that he may come good next season.
Even if he does come good, he'll find his chances limited in this current system. It'll be pointless keeping him around.

Sort the deal for Pogba involving him. Juve wanted him last summer - having Falcao may give us an edge.

I just can't believe they would box themselves in like that, not with a player coming back from a serious injury like that, it's always an unknown quantity. Maybe they just paid through the nose to get to the head of the queue and stay there? Like hedging your bets till the last possible minute.
