Well that was just a god awful game of football. We were atrocious in the final 3rd and they had by far the best of the chances. 3 shots the whole game with 1 on target just isn't good enough. Above all that though, the most annoying thing about the whole match was that Rooney managed to keep himself on the field for the whole fucking 90 minutes. In fairness the whole attack was off today but it's just really starting to piss me off how blind the manager is in regards to him.

I know I said I'd be happy winning 1-0 every week and winning the league but to even win 1-0 you have to be able to create something. It wasn't like they sat back and tried to hit us on the counter, they went at us and our attack was still too inept to score. The 2 misses in the first half, 1) from Rooney after he made a great run and 2) Herrera's sitter from about 4 yards out doesn't help either.

For what it's worth I don't think Rooney was that bad today... or maybe because he wasn't sticking out like a sore thumb because everyone was playing at his level.

If that's the future I may as well take up watching cricket or better still watching marathons right from the start or maybe golf. Depilation, root canal or finger nails pulled aren't as painful as watching that drivel.

Would rather have won 1 of the last 3 trying to go all out than draw 3 with practically a half arsed attempt at winning.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal: " We did not keep the ball. That's a very important factor and because of that we didn't create too many chances. I have to say I can't complain about the result.
"[Not scoring for a third consecutive game] is a big concern but I already said that after the second match, especially against Middlesbrough, because we created many chances but did not finish.
"Today we didn't create so many chances so it's more difficult. When you don't keep the ball you can't create chances."
He's spot on you know. In the first half we created 2 golden opportunities whilst dominating possession. In the 2nd half we were terrible on the ball and couldn't keep hold of it for any prolonged period of time. Which showed in both the possession stats and the fact we didn't create anything. The 2nd half was bad on all sorts of levels.
On the plus side, we're still rock solid at the back despite having to draft Blind in for Jones and replacing Darmian with Young for the last half hour. Got a bit lucky a few times though.

Speaking to MUTV........
What was your assessment of today's game? Palace showed a lot of aggression. They won every ball in the first quarter of the first half – the second and third ball was always for Crystal Palace, so they built up a lot of pressure on us. But, after 15 minutes, we came into the match and created a few chances. In the second half, we could not develop our positional game and could not keep the ball, so we could not create too many chances. Our defensive organisation was good – we didn’t give too much away.
Is the lack of goals a concern? Of course it is a concern. I said that after the match against Middlesbrough, when we created a lot of chances. You have to finish the chances. In the last minute of the first half, Ander Herrera could have finished it but he didn’t. I asked him and he didn’t know why, so that is a pity. But I can’t complain about the result because I don’t think we were the better team today.
What can you do differently? I cannot do anything anymore because we cannot train: we can only recover and recover. We have to score in the next match and then everybody will be happy again, and especially against CSKA Moscow it is very important to score.
Three league games, three clean sheets, five points... are you happy overall? No, I am not happy because if you want to be the champions, you have to win these kinds of matches. Arsenal beat Swansea, for example. We lost against Swansea, even though we were the better team, but they have beaten them 3-0.
Whether you like him or not. Whether you agree with his tactics or not. He's always completely honest in his press conferences. He knows there's an issue with us creating chances and scoring goals the last 4 matches. Now he's got to rectify it.
