Early kick offs kill us and ruin games, fucking ruin them. That said can't be too disappointed with the second half. Play that game at a normal time without an international break and we win it.

Disappointing result but it was an entertaining match.
Selection backfired and we showed them far too much respect first half, not sure what the plan was but whatever it was it didn't work. Poor defending from Bailly and Blind for the first goal, plus the non existent pressing from the front.
Mou made some good changes second half and we played better, lessons to be learnt for Jose against the better sides we'll need more bodies in midfield etc. but not many teams have the attacking talent of City and the managerial nous of Pep so it's a balancing act.
I don't know what the fuck Pogba was doing today.

Men against boys from the start and in the end gave ourselves too much work to do. Not sure what motivation we needed more than a local derby against our title rivals but we were 2nd to everything. For the first 40 minutes just looked as if all we thought we had to do was show up. Only they know but shocked isnt the word to sum up that first half, got ourselves back into but always left the risk of conceding and being finished off completely.

First half and schoolboy errors cost us. Unlucky not to get a point in the end but Clattenberg also did everything to prevent comeback

Big deal, City pressed hard and high in the first half and we were alseep / still on international break, shit happens. Rocket up the arse from the manager no doubt.
Clattenberg reverted to type, ridiculous cunt.

Pep loves his passing.
Bravo is Ospina Mk II, lots of flapping to come.

After the 40 minute mark, it became a great game of football and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Very unlucky not to get a draw from it after the second half display, but that being said City absolutely romped us in the first half.
Rashford a bright spark after he came on. Correct me if I'm wrong but Martial didn't add a huge amount to the game, and Pogba was a shadow of the player we saw against Southampton for the most part.
Still early on and things start becoming more congested now with fixtures, but gutting to lose the 3 points.

Joking aside god help football if they end up winning the league and he's still their no 1. Well at least on the evidence of today. And yes edwood, manchester derby is a big deal. city had the same international break we did and also were without their leading centre back and centre forward.

We were asleep and got punished, shit happens, and has happened many times before to us in early kick-offs. Annoying but that's all, considering the fight back. It's one game and the first three points dropped (which was going to happen sooner or later). Luke Shaw looked tired AF and you can see why big Sam did what he did, and Valencia didn't look much better from his round the world red eye trip. Mou was right, 4 or 5 of ours weren't at it today and it cost us first half.

Glad Mourinho said as much in the post match. Cuz those individuals he and others have referred to, need all the kicks and rockets up the ass they can legitmately be given just to keep them in check
