Congratulations Wayne!!
When all is said and done it's still a great achievement and an illustrious career he's had here, despite being written off a thousand times recently, I still think he's got more to offer here, although I don't think that's going to pan out.

Agree with you Ed ......
He is probably the most criticized / disliked legend ever from his own club fans, let alone all the United haters out there ............... but nobody can take away his footballing acheivements both for Utd and for England.
Hat's off to Rooney - it's nice to see other players, past and present, congratulating him and sticking up for him - I'm also sure he has a few more goals in his legs and hopefully sooner than later
.............. but will he ever get a statue at Old Trafford ????
Full marks to him (and his family) for his resilience, self belief and ability to pull through tough times and still fight like a dog for our shirt.
Maybe he will only be truely appreciated once he has hung his boots up for good and his records will stand for a good few years to come

No doubt he was really badly advised by his agent - but then again both Rooney and Stretford were 100% correct to call the Glazers out at the time.
Best thing he's done for me, but no, no statue.

Papers going mental with Rooney to China, reds been offered 30m for the move --> and you'd be fucking nuts to refuse that... and so would Rooney

Not too sure about China............... at least from his point of view
Very traditional Northern family roots with their parents on both sides ........... would Colleen really up sticks with her 3 little 'uns ? Would he be willing to kiss goodbye any further England caps
I can see him going but more likely to Everton........... the Roos have enough money to be comfortable forever
I think he will stay until the Summer ....... the usual press palaver surrounding Roo we ain't seen the last of it

Does look more and more likely that he'll be off in the summer.
Everton won't be able to afford him unless he takes a wage cut which is unlikely so while I didn't think he'd fancy China I'm not sure where else he could go.. possibly the MLS? Good point on England but he'll still be involved in some capacity and it's not like he's going to miss out on trophies/records.
