I don't know about that... take away the cliched superhero films that were always going to be successful and you're left with Memento, Prestige, Inception, and Interstellar. Those are good films, but I'd struggle to call him the best director. He may be up there somewhere in the conversation, but I need to see a lot more and more interesting genres if he's ever going to be anything more than "that guy that did Batman".

Watched "3 days to kill" lastnight, not bad, bit comedic for an action movie

Look what happened to the remake of Superman and Man of steel... wasn't as successful as the Dark Knight trilogy. However, I do agree with you that he needs to make more films, in different genres for him to be in the same league as Scorsese, Spielberg and Cameron.

Superman Returns and Man of Steel did a combined $1,059,081,692 at the box office. Just because they weren't as prolific as Dark Knight doesn't mean they weren't successful... that's an average of more than half a billion per film. That's insanity. Superhero films are worth huge money, and they're shit for the most part. Studios don't care about the content... they care about the return.

They've all been poor after the first one.

Not as good as the first, it bored me to death to be honest. Not enough action and it's a bit too tame for my liking.

The first one was really good... not the Mark Wahlberg one. Thought of downloading the second one. Might think otherwise then.

Watched Interstellar last night and I was very happy with it. Couldn't help but make a parallel with Gravity and Interstellar takes all the points.

It's rated higher on IMDB than the first one so you might enjoy it, just in my opinion it wasn't much good. The special effects and the authenticity of how the apes look is still great but the plot didn't do much for me.

Not bad. I enjoyed it but the reviews weren't too kind.
