The 2nd year 2nd place was a fluke.

Ancelotti rejected the chance to become United's manager for Liverpool? Wise decision indeed. :-/ Is this mentioned in the article or your thinking that joining Liverpool will never see him as a United manager?

previous article. We were in for him before Moyes took over it seems.

I didn't read the article but it's mentioned in SAF's book, I guess, that Mourinho had agreed to join Chelsea with Ancelotti replacing him. And Moyes was apparently a lot below in the pecking order.

he should, he actually did better than most would have. He had them playing alright but its clear to see this is probably a mid table championship team, they are nowhere near good enough for the premier league oh and Sean Dyche would be mad to leave Burnley for Sunderland, he actually has a good thing in burnley with a team that has some heart, sunderland are soulless

Nigel Pearson linked with the role, i wonder.
Maybe they should look to a young manager, Patrick Viera maybe?

as for Advocaat, he could take over most other teams in the premier league (aside from newcastle who are as bad as their rivals) and do something with them

Surprising, I thought they would give him more time.

He gave them a good season (although Suarez deserves a lot of the credit).
They need someone else in order to push forward. Klopp might end up there. But I still think they need quality players - not just a good manager.

Blimme me only 3 points off fourth. Oh well all we can do is look after ourselves. He was only ever going to take them so far before they'd eventually wake up and smell the coffee.

Last thing we wanted to hear today. God, I hope they don't land Klopp.
