Jurgen Klinsmann - 4/1 (leaving a national team post for a struggling club, that will not look good for the National team, but maybe it will be for their benefit, he's been whinging far too much about everything) Klinsmann is not going anywhere... he's on the list because Aston Villa is American owned and the owners are known to be fans of his. Whilst he's been critical of the fitness of his players in the January camp and the length of the MLS season... all of his statements have been on the money. You might call it whining- but he was hired to completely change the way we view football in America. He was always going to butt heads with the higher-ups at US Soccer and the MLS.

i can understand a lot of his complaints but surely he can work around it for now, no football structure is going to change immediately at the whim of one manager (unless of course that manager happened to be elite level, even then)
it will take time to make the changes necessary
oh and change is needed but surely he knows having a longer MLS season (he wanted an 11 month season or something insane) and to go head to head with the NFL right now isn't going to happen with the current popularity (it could happen eventually but not now)

He didn't say it was going to happen right away... he said he thought that's what we were aiming for.

oh yeah in the distant future when football is at least comparable to the mlb and nfl in the states (i mean even they are number 4, somewhere where all the teams are basically averaging over 20-25k) and/or have their own niche market of loyal fans who won't go back and forth between sports

He wants US soccer to run concurrently with the European schedule. That's his goal. He's said that from the very beginning. It might not be feasible right now, but that's why it's a goal.

I wonder if he will dive across the floor if he achieves this goal

Nope, just a smug smile and an "I told you so" should suffice.
