The Lad Bible is the 12th most visited website in the UK. I've never been so ashamed of my country.

Thanks Jie,the hangover is irrelevant now. She would'be been two in May. She was in the vet for a week today, she had Feline Luekemia. Poor thing, the family are gutted for her.

Sorry to hear about your cat, Brendan. Cheers Jerry mate! When we adopted her we got her vaccinated against it, but she already had it, so the vaccinations only surpressed it until now.

Lee Kwan Yew's dead, world leaders are flooding in with tributes to him, and what does one American newspaper write about? His policy regarding chewing gum.

To be fair, banning gum is preposterous!
Joking aside, you should be surprised that he's even on the American newspaper.

You don't know Lee Kuan Yew Miguel? :o Bill Clinton went for his wake.I think George Bush as well. Nope, had to google him. I was just a baby when he left office. Don't think I watched the Mexican news at that age and doubt he would've have been on it in the first place. Not like we'd learn about him in school either.

That's very true, Eric. The thing is though, LKY is such a highly respected figure... the terms 'giant of a man' and 'economic miracle' are so often used in connection with him. He's met every US president since Lyndon B. Johnson, and whenever he goes to America, it's not to seek advice from them.... it's to GIVE them advice. People such as Barack Obama, Xi JIngpin, David Cameron, Tony Blair, Narendra Modi and Shinzo Abe have all paid tributes to this man. Blair even went as far as to label him 'the smartest man I have ever met'. In Hong Kong, his death was front page news on the newspaper. I think this is a testament to how highly regarded he is around the world.
Of course, it's no surprise that many of you don't know who he is, and there's no problem with that, but what I can tell you is that he was a great, great man, one of the greatest political figures in the modern era.
