Well the season is nearly upon us, the majority of transfers seem to be done for the top sides so I thought it be interesting to discuss our thoughts on the opposition. I'm going to put up the top five sides from last season and I'll give you Chelsea as well, if you want to include any others feel free but I think these will be our main competitors this season and Leicester being champions it'd be unfair to leave them out. I'm not sure what the first teams or formations will be so I'll just do what I think with the bog standard 4231. Leicester:Schmeichel
Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Fuchs
Drinkwater - Mendy
Mahrez - Musa - Gray Vardy
Arsenal:Cech
Bellerin - Koscielny - ? - Monreal
Xhaka - Cazorla
Ramsey - Ozil - Sanchez Giroud
Spurs:Lloris
Walker - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Rose
Dier - Dembele
Lamela - Alli - Eriksen Kane
City:Hart
Sagna - Kompany - Stones - Clichy
Fernando - Fernandinho
Sane - De Bruyne - Nolito Aguero

Looking at those sides compared to ours and what we'll have on the bench I fancy our chances even more. I think it'll be a close run thing between ourselves, City and the forgotten team, Chelsea. They won the league 2 years ago and have largely the same squad, couple that with no European football and I think they'll be right in there. I also think Conte is a top quality manager.
Leicester will not be anywhere near the top for me. Champions League will be a great experience for them and I think if they finish top 7 they'd have done extremely well.
Arsenal and Spurs have barely improved their sides at all and I think unless they do they'll be fighting it out for 4th and as it stands I'd fancy Spurs to nick 4th over Arsenal as they have the younger side who are more open to further improvement.

Arsenal always finish above Spurs though
We've definitely done the best business in the window and strengthened our first XI more than anyone else, I think us and City may start off quite slowly but come the business end it'll be between us two. I'm not sure on Chelsea, I think Mou got more from them and it's whether Conte can get that back to that level. Spurs I kinda wrote off last season but they proved me wrong, they have a good young side but the CL will be a distraction and they haven't really strengthened their first team which could cost them on a title challenge (understandable with the stadium etc.) still a top four finish would be a great season for them.
Arsenal.. same old, sexy football and they'll be near the top come Christmas and then fade away, still they have time to do some business but Wenger doesn't seem willing to cough up on a top striker or defender at present. Every season they manage to get the minimum of top four though.
I expect Leicester to still do fairly well this season, top 10 at least but I think it'll be difficult for them with the Champions League to contend with. As a club they won't be used to it and the majority of players won't be used to the travel etc. as well. As long as they keep Mahrez, their creativity and pace on the break wil cause problems.
Top four - six is going to be a right battle as well with West Ham, Liverpool, Soton and I'm expecting Koeman to do well with Everton.

It pains me to say it but Scousecunt fc have a decent side coming together, especially in midfield and up front. They're suspect at the back but I wouldn't be surprised to see them go close to top 4 this season. They shouldn't be getting anywhere near the top though.

I cannot believe they haven't replaced Moreno.

Aye which is why I don't think they'll compete with us, City, Chelsea. Hopefully I'm completely wrong and they'll be midtable fodder. I don't see it though, like it or not Klopp is a quality manager.

Could well be between ourselves and City this season, they have bought well also. Their signings may not be as high-profile as ours, but they didn't need them to be as badly as we did. So the two squads are even enough now I think.

Even if we don't, at least with the squad we have you know we are contenders. It's nice to have more than one world class player in the team, it certainly gives you a bit of confidence
