Captains the Dutch tonight, also good to see him playing in the role he has for us. Yeah want England to put in a good performance and win, would like to see Vardy upfront but hope to see Memphis put in a good show as well, he can score some goals once Smalling is off the pitch

Both sides a little careless in the first half, took a while to get going but a nicely worked goal. We've been ok overall, need to up the tempo.

Stones is showing why he should be picked ahead of Cahill. Rose showing he shouldn't be on the plane at all.

Really well worked goal and improved a lot as the half went on. Started the 2nd brightly as well.
Great save from Forster!

Back to the usual a bit tonight. We controlled the match the second half before their goal but didn't really create anything of note, disappointing final 15 minutes or so we didn't look like we wanted to get back into it, never pushed on. Positives tonight, Smalling and Stones complimented each other nicely Smalling was very good, Stones his usual good on the ball but drops a clanger from trying to be too fancy. Defensively they weren't tested a huge amount but did what was needed. Drinkwater had a very good debut, don't know how Lallana was considered for Motm did nothing apart from the pass into Walker. Milner is wank and Barkley had a stinker.

I still thought we were better than the usual crap, nowhere near up to the other night but the signs are there we could do something

Yeah I agree. Still a lot of positives to take from the performance as a whole. Drinkwater should be starting in cm with Dier and Alli, Lallana and Milner should be nowhere near the side and Smalling/Stones has to be the CB pairing are the main things I learned tonight.

From a United perspective Rashford shouldn't go for me but from an England perspective as a wild card option he can play wide or upfront, with no Welbeck etc. his pace would be a very useful asset.
Carrick and a couple of West Ham players a little unlucky to miss out on the provisional.
I'd cut Wilshere, Delph and Townsend/Sturridge. It'll probably be Delph, Drinkwater and Rashford though.
I guess there is talented youngsters in there but the likes of Stones, Barkley and Sterling have been shit of late, the Spuds lot you don't know how will react after losing the title. My excitement is wilting going into it.
Hart, Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose, Dier, Drinkwater, Alli, Rooney, Kane, Vardy. (Roo could drop into midfield to make room for Sterling)
