Best manager with Man U mentality is Diego Simeone. But will he be tempted? I don't think that Zidane will come. Spurs will not allow us to pinch their prize manager. I hope that we won't end up with Conte!!!

He has to go, say what you want about the Glazers and Woodward, the manager is responsible for what happens on the pitch and it’s no where near good enough, that and the added toxicity off it has made it an untenable position. Not a chance he can turn this around so why wait, it frankly shouldn’t have got this far.
Zidane seems to be the favourite but maybe we’ll go down the caretaker route, nothing much to lose since he’s taken us out of the running for pretty much every competition. I love Simeone but he simply wouldn’t suit us especially if we want to play proactive football, I’d like to see Poch or Jardim myself.

And GN is correct as usual. However if he really has lost the players , and only those closest to the situation really know, then there is no real alternative, especially if you want to salvage something of the season. I think modern players have changed, they're over paid, over privileged snowflakes in comparison to what's gone before. Mourinho has found this out to his cost, but did he bring it on himself, yes, does he care? I doubt as much as he should. Are the Glazers and Woodward rotten to the core - abso-fucking-lutely. Is anything in place for the long term - err, NO. That's down to the current owners and only the current owners who milk the club dry and take the piss. At this point I would happily see the club relegated if it meant they fucked off. Immediate future and the rest of the season, I'd be happy with some calm and steady and Carrick fits that bill temporarily. I'd like to see some experience with him and Rene Meulensteen would fit and is available (I think). Next season, I think they'll go with Poch, and I can see a logic there.

Been following Pochettinos career ever since he arrived in Spain and once Pep and Klopp decided to go elsewhere he was the only man for the job. When he arrived at Espanyol they were definitely relegation foder but in a short space of time he had them playing his attractive high pressing type of football. What was more impressive was that a vast majority of the team he was managing were ex team mates. Earning their respect was probably his biggest challenge but he succeeded and went on to have a very successful tenure with them. Ok in his last season Espanyol were in a relegation position before he left them but that was down to the club not helping him invest in signing players which made up his mind to go elsewhere. Similar to what's happening with him now with Levy. Hopefully that will be a big factor if we do go in for him. Was 100% certain he'd be off to Madrid sometime in his career but when the post was vacated this summer and he didn't take it (because he was the perfect man for the job) it gives more hope that one day he'll be coming to us.

And no way would I want Simeone at the club. Tired of watching us play with the intention of first and foremost with the attitude of not losing instead of thinking about winning. Big no no from me.

Never a good sign for a struggling manager at any club when the board backs you when there's an international break coming up.

Neville lives in his own little bubble when it comes to managers.

Leonardo Jardim is available? Would he be worth looking at (though first choice i agree should be the Poch).
