If Perez doesn't match the value we want, or Ramos isn't coming to us, then DDG is staying put.
I think Perez is thick as pigshit and doesn't know what he's doing and he'll let it drift into us buying Otamendi with DDG staying.

Really wouldn't surprise me. Madrid not being willing to cough up £25million which would be an absolute steal for De Gea might put something in his mind along the lines of "They don't value me as highly as they should do." which could prompt him to stick with a club who value him massively.
It's a long shot and if I was going to put money on anything I think they'll eventually stump up the cash this summer and get him. It's good to see us not giving in though, I'd rather get another season out of him and lose him for free next summer than sell him on the cheap.
Also if he sticks around for another year, it gives us more time to fabricate a story claiming his bird's been shagging John Terry, they split up, he no longer has that added pressure to move back to Spain and he signs a new deal!

Never mind a John Terry story, all we have to do is invite her to a game at OT and sit her next to Giggsy in the dugout, all sorted...

Or I could take a shot at her. She might find me to be irresistible.
All in the name of keeping DDG here of course...

I'm nowhere near man enough to take a pop at her, I'd more than likely end up being her fake gay bestfriend.

Have these so called pundits been living under a rock or what? I don't see what the fuss is about this De Gea 'fiasco'.
When have Madrid ever made life easy, United have done the best they possibly could with this situation they have stuck to their guns and not bowed down to Madrid, cough up or we keep him. It's Madrid that are dragging this on, they for once should do the right thing for Dave and pay what we are due for his services.
Alright ideally we don't want an unhappy player and we want the solution sorted before the start of the season of course but what can we do if they aren't willing to pay up. We've signed ample cover in the mean time with Valdes first off but now Romero, it's not like we are scrambling around for someone to fill in. The only thing I would slightly disagree from United with is Dave being left out but that is understandable.
Madrid either pay up or we keep him, pretty straight forward. If he stays then he gets his head down and with the Euro's coming up I doubt he's going to turn into Taibi, the same applies with a replacement again what top keeper would join us with Dave still here, we could sign someone and let him rot but I don't think that would be right.
United have handled it the best they could, no issues for me.

While it is not good for the club right now, I do understand DDG and his need to go to Spain to be near his woman. He is obviously "in love" and that alone can tear a big hole in a man's gut just as much as a soccer player's team being 4 or 5 down to nothing during a game. The problem with DDG is it will be a continuous pain until he goes to Real and is closer to his woman. In saying all this though he should realize that just like two married movie stars their careers are going to separate them frequently causing them anguish and, depending upon just how dedicated they are to each other, the situation can eventually turn out that DDG may end up wishing he had stayed with Man U.
Bottom line is what's good for the club! This is what LVG is having to consider carefully. On the one hand DDG is probably the best in the world and for that that reason alone MU should try and keep him even if it is only for another season, because in life things can change rapidly, and if DDG's personal problems resolve one way or another keeping him for that last season may give the club an opportunity to sign him to another contract. If, DDG is so affected by his "troubles of the heart" that he can't think straight to such an extent that it affects his goalkeeping abilities as it has in the last two games, then LVG is probably better letting him go BUT, NOT AT ANY PRICE! His stand against the bullying tactics of RM is to be lauded and it's my guess that this situation will go on right to the last day of the transfer deadline.
