Big season for him if he can stay injury free which won't happen if he doesn't change his game

Shin splints ............. fear we're not gonna see him any time soon
Treatment for shin splints is not always successful because the exact cause of shin splints is still unknown.
Most Common Treatment
Rest Ice Strengthen Gradually returning to activity Initial treatment for shin splints includes rest and ice.[24] Rest and ice work to allow the tibia to recover from sudden, high levels of stress and reduce inflammation and pain levels. It is important to significantly reduce any pain or swelling before returning to activity. Strengthening exercises should be performed after pain has subsided, focusing on lower leg and hip muscles.[25] Individuals should gradually return to activity, beginning with a short and low intensity level. Over multiple weeks, they can slowly work up to normal activity level. It is important to decrease activity level if any pain returns. Individuals should consider running on other surfaces besides asphalt, such as grass, to decrease the amount of force the lower leg must absorb.[26] Orthoses and insoles help to offset biomechanical irregularities, like pronation, and help to support the arch of the foot.[27]
Less common forms of treatment for more severe cases of shin splints include extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) and surgery.[28] Surgery is only performed in extreme cases where more conservative options have been tried for at least a year.[29] However, surgery does not guarantee 100% recovery.

Surely he can avert his constant injury problems one day though...

I'd like to see him go half a season injury free just to see if he's actually good enough to wear the United shirt because I'm still not convinced.

After a shaky start of the game, improved massively since! Loved how he dispossessed Aguero there.

He had a solid game. He doesn't fill me with confidence at times, because he looks a bit "reckless". But yesterday he was very good. Congrats to him.

When Michael Keane is 8th you know the list is bullshit.

Those Football Observatory lists always come up with some bizarre findings - they never seem to fully disclose how they compile them either.
You just get a few random words like "rigour" and "recovery" which somehow go into it.
I like the site though.

These are the criteria I found on their site
Shooting: ability to take advantage of goal opportunities through accurate shooting. Chance creation: ability to put teammates in a favourable position to strike. Take on: ability to create dangerous situations by successfully challenging opponents. Distribution: ability to keep a hold on the game through efficient passing. Recovery: ability to minimise goal opportunities for opponents through proficient interception work. Rigour: ability to minimise goal opportunities for opponents through robust duelling.
Of course Jones is gonna nail the "take on", he's like a bull in a china shop. Oh well, who cares, we have the best young defender and Varane can suck it!
